Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Cupboard Chef iOS app ("Cupboard Chef", "we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them, along with Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Questions: support@getcupboardchef.com.

The free plan

Tracking your pantry, fridge and freezer, barcode scanning, the shopping list, staples, reminders, cooking mode, backup and household sharing are free. AI meal ideas are limited on the free plan to one set of meal ideas and one full recipe every 7 days, counted from when you last used each.

Cupboard Chef Pro

• Pro removes the weekly limit on AI meal ideas and recipes, subject to a generous daily fair-use limit that protects the service from abuse.
• Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly through your Apple ID at the price shown in the app before you buy.
• The yearly plan may include a free trial for new subscribers. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the yearly price is charged.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Payments and refunds are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Your subscription is linked to your Cupboard Chef account. Use Restore Purchases in the app if you sign in on a new device.

AI-generated recipes

Meal ideas and recipes are generated by AI and can contain mistakes. Always check ingredients against your allergies and dietary needs, follow safe food-handling practices, and use your own judgment when cooking. Cupboard Chef isn't a substitute for medical or nutritional advice.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details safe, and don't use the app to break the law or to disrupt the service (for example, by automating requests). We may suspend accounts that abuse the service. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete Account); this doesn't cancel an App Store subscription, which you manage with Apple.

Changes and availability

We may update the app and these terms. If we make important changes we'll update the date above, and where appropriate let you know in the app. The app is provided "as is", and to the extent permitted by law we aren't liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from its use.
